And we’re back with another update. This time it will be rather short as I didn’t spend a great deal of time game testing this past week. So far I am 63 hours into the game. I am on week 21 out of 48 of the 5th year. (7 in total, 8 including the post game stuff)

I believe this is the first time showcasing the daughter at age 16, it’s such nice artwork, isn’t it?

I last left off testing a particular battle that had me worried ever since I started testing the game. This boss battle has the most enemies in a single story battle up to this point. Also, your party is fixed at this point in the game so I had to make sure I arranged this event to function smoothly.

Thankfully, everything seems to be working great. It seems the changes I’ve made to the game’s balance are bearing their fruit once again. Even though you’re faced with so many enemies, you don’t get over burdened. But that doesn’t mean it will be easy to win. This is more or less, the sweet spot I wanted.

Here is a screenshot of the zone of said battle. I do not wish to reveal the battle just yet. (It’ll be in the release trailer, look out for it 🙂 )

I also had to deal with a few other issues but they’re not anything major. Once I get through this boss event, I’ll get to enjoy more fun story development.

Speaking of the story, I’m happy with how well things are flowing. I believe the maturity of the daughter is reflecting well in the dialogue. But that’s just my own bias opinion I suppose. Once other people play it for themselves, I’ll have more input on how I’ve done.

That’s all for this week. I’ll pick up the pace again for next week. I have lots of ground to make up.
