    A-Kon 19 Convention/My Return

    Dre

    By Dre | June 2, 2008

I’m back!! WOW, this year was something else!! So many people showed up. I’m guessing triple the amount of last year. I was also able to get
alot of great stuff and talk to plenty of people. Oh and I didn’t forget the pictures, nor the videos, but more on that later. I went a head
and took a picture of all the things I got, the only thing that’s not included is the gray color eye contacts I got.

Click to see the bigger version!

Most the things I got were art books, I love the illustrations and the sketches. It really helps me out when I create my work. I won’t go into details with any of the item
but the pictures should explain enough.

Now for those cosplay pix’s I promised you. I took sooooooooo many this year. Damn near 200 to be exact. So I won’t post them all here, instead I will give you my top
    10. None of them in any particular order but the first. The rest I will give a link to where you can randomly browse through at your leaser. Lets begin!

First, the number one picture has to be me (on the right) and Nabashin (on the left). Who is Nabashin you ask? Well have you ever seen of heard of such shows as Excel
Saga, Puni Puni Poemi, or Tenchi Muyo! GXP? Well this guy directed them all and I got a picture with him. BAM!! I’m sure your head just exploded.

The lady here was costplaying a character from the anime Burst Angels. A very well done one at that.

A costplay of a character from the Dead or Alive game series. Need I say more?

Pirates of the Caribbean I believe. The costplay and the image came out well.

I’ll admit, the quality on this one isn’t too well, but the costplay felt dead on for me. So I added her in the top ten.

This was the only costplay I seen of the anime Hitman Reborn at the convention unfortunately. Even though it was a girl costplaying as a guy it was
    still damn spot on.

The person here was costplaying Vann from Final Fantasy 12. Did a damn pretty good job considering it was a girl costplaying as a guy.(has your mind flipped yet?)

This one is just plan cool. The girl is Nariko from Heavenly Sword but I’m not too sure about the guy. The rest of the image speaks for itself.

She wasn’t costplaying as anyone, she was just plain HOT!!

The picture came out in good quality and the costplayer was cute. I’m not too sure what anime she is from though.

So there you have it folks, I’ll get to the videos at a later time. For now, enjoy this lovely stack of images and later dayz!!

Yeah, some of the other artbooks ended up being art from artistes I’ve seen before. So I seriously lucked out there.

Shunya Yamashita, huh. *googles* Wowzers. I didn’t even see that guys artbook up there. Or maybe it was………I didn’t do that deep of a serach for artbooks. Oh well, there’s always A-Fest.

Yeah, I watched it yesterday. Damn that was a great one. I was kinda shooting in the dark with it simply because it had a cool cover and all but it was worth it. :D

They didnt do it all dark and what not, but I’m glad they were able to pull off the fight scenes. ^_^

Err, by shooting in the dark I mean buying that movie and not knowing a thing about it. I based that purchase off the cool looking cover art.

And the fight scenes were very awsome. The one thing I had going in my mind was, “If only the new dragon ball movie could pull fight scenes like this it would sell billions!!”.

lol, well the cover art is kinda unpredictable…and yes if they even get ppl to pull off DB fight scenes in real life that would be amazing.
